Smart Golf Lessons

In my effort to constantly improve golf lesson quality for my students, old and new, I will be introducing “Smart Lessons”, a new concept in golf instruction. Real learning and documented progress!

The Smart lesson will be less expensive, directed, results oriented instruction, with video verification and a proficiency system that guides the student specifically, from lesson to lesson. The 7 lesson series will include a workbook that explains in simple to understand words and pictures how each lesson is geared to helping the student “build” a golf swing.

Starting with understanding how the golf ball should be struck, to learning the 7 most important positions and movements of a great golf swing, the student is guided through the process by successfully mastering specific pieces of the swing and then linking them together.

It is my opinion that some golf instruction tries to incorporate too much complicated information, far too quickly, which leaves the student totally frustrated without a solid foundation, and unprepared to execute the “whole unified golf swing”.

The Smart Lesson series offers the use of the Amazing Angle Golf Swing Trainer, a proven tool to help see and feel the desired positions and movements of an efficient golf swing, allowing the student to practice the specific, 7 positions and movements, anytime and anywhere.

The use of V1 video analysis helps document student progress. Students will be assigned their personal cyber viewing locker for access to viewing lesson videos at anytime.

Students are allowed to advance at their own pace, assuring quality of foundation and “real” progress.

The smart lesson series is without a doubt, the most comprehensive way to improve your ability to play the game.

The Smart Lesson series includes (7), 35 minute sessions, workbook, video analysis, and practice balls for an investment of $280.

Playing golf at a TPC golf course

There is just something about playing at a Tournament Players Course. Anticipation is a huge factor when you aren’t playing much golf. The first tee shot is always special. You think it sets the tone for the round, but it really doesn’t. A double bogey on the first hole doesn’t necessarily mean a bad round or even the end of the world!

At 6900 yards you really do find out how good you are though. At home golf is pretty straight forward. Not much yardage and no real obstacles. At a TPC course you can really feel ill equipped and alone. Off most par 4s, you must hit it 275 and avoid water, bunkers, the alligators, (really!), snakes, etc.

Second shots are usually long irons to greens tightly guarded by deep bunkers or water hazards. For me bogey is a good score these days on a 460 yard par 4. The par 5s don’t really offer much relief either. These par 5s have a lot of defenses, and can really bite. Par 3s also are usually over180 yards with plenty of challenges.

I really am going to start practicing with my Amazing Angle. It really reaffirms my belief that when I practice with it, my ball striking improves. Especially my position at the top of my backswing!

So, everyone should experience this type of play. Then, after you play, you can go to the beach, go in the ocean, and almost get bit by a shark. Seriously, no kidding. A perfect end to my day.

Please get your Amazing Angle and practice slowly and deliberately!
